Hiccup Stopping Lollipop

04/21/2022

There are several different ways to stop hiccups, but one simple lollipop is making the dreaded sensation a thing of the past. Inventor Mallory Kievman, 13, is tackling this challenge with her Hiccupops, a hiccup-stopping lollipop. Its tartness comes from apple cider vinegar, while its sweetness is derived from sugar. While both methods are effective, Hiccupops may be a bit more complicated.

First, it is important to know the cause of hiccups. It is a reflex that occurs when an organ within the body becomes too irritated. Usually, the esophagus or stomach is the culprit. People who suffer from hiccups usually swallow too much air and this triggers the reflex. Fortunately, most cases of hiccups are brief and disappear after a few minutes. Luckily, a Connecticut eighth grader has done just that: her Hiccuppop has been patented and is being distributed throughout the country. With the help of a team of MBA students, Kievman is working to get Hiccupops into the hands of hiccup sufferers everywhere. Although the company is still small and unproven, it's a promising first step. It might become the hiccup stopping lollipop that changes lives and the way people live.

Currently, there are a few other hiccup stopping lollipops on the market. Hiccupops contain a unique blend of ingredients that help calm irritated nerves and reset the body's hiccup response. However, a more reliable solution is needed. However, until that happens, the Hiccupops are unlikely to catch on. If Hiccupopop can be made available to the general public, the company will focus on developing a more effective version. Check out this post that has expounded on the topic: https://www.encyclopedia.com/sports-and-everyday-life/food-and-drink/food-and-cooking/lollipop.
